Perpetual Winter has its Benefits
As winter weather persists, I can think of a few positives. These benefits will be greatly outweighed by the emergence of warmer weather and melting snow in the next few days. Fortunately, Sunday's snowfall total might fall short of the ominous forecast. Forty's and 50's could grace the thermometer over the next few days.
Dismissing the following "benefits," warmer weather will put smiles on most faces and bring happier attitudes to many.
The Twins are playing well in the snow
The Minnesota Twins are 2-0 while playing in the snow. So it surprised me a bit that Sunday's game was postponed. They aren't playing as well in the cold sunshine, as evidenced by their Saturday loss to the Mariners.
Kids can get in their exercise
Replenishing the snow on a nearly daily basis gives kids a great chance to get some fresh air and exercise.
No seasonal allergies here
Those people that get spring allergies, can breathe a little easier for a while.
No swatting...yet
I am yet to hear the buzz of a mosquito.
No need to mow
The grass will eventually grow, but there might be one or two fewer mowing times this season.
One season = One wardrobe
Our closets could hold a few less items if we had to dress for winter year round.
