Temperatures are trending upward. Before long your kids will be clamoring for a chance to go to River Springs Water Park. Good news for you. The facility will open on Friday, June 4. Opening day is a "School's Out" special admission price of just $4. Owatonna Parks and Recreation Supervisor Dani Licht says in a blog post, "It's looking like it's going to be a hot summer and we have a lot in store for you this year."

She told me there is a new log-rolling activity. This is in addition to the lazy river, body slide, climbing wall, tube slide and lily pad walk. River Springs also features a zero-depth entry and activity pool. See the full list of features. The phone number to the water park is 507-774-7370.

The concession stand will be open. When the season starts, River Springs is open seven days a week from 12 to 7 pm. It is located at 3065 St. Paul Road. Licht invites you to be a fan of their Facebook page for updates and special occasions.
