The Owatonna In Support of Alzheimer's presents their Art For Hope fundraiser on Saturday, April 8, at the Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna. The event will begin with a social hour at 6:30PM along with a silent auction. The silent auction will feature fabric art created by area individuals living with dementia and then made into pillows. The live auction begins at 8PM. This year's auction will feature a dozen original wooden chairs decorated to a theme by area artists.

Artists who have created chair artwork include Lynette Yencho, Scott West, Irene Vazquez, Hilary Underwood, LaRae Nordlie, Christina Kim, Naomi Jirele, Dan Fichten, Bethe DeCoux, Julie Benjamin, McKenzie Arndt and Tyler Akemann.

More information and pictures of the decorated chairs are going up on the Owatonna In Support of Alzheimer's Facebook page.

The $20 admission fee gets you refreshments and a bidding number. Advance tickets are on sale at the Elks and Kottke Jewelers, and from OISA members. There will also be some tickets available at the door. Proceeds to support the Owatonna In Support of Alzheimer's.
