Isaac Rocha, a 2015 Owatonna graduate, was named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference pitcher of the week, according to a news release from the conference.

Rocha, a sophomore for the Saints, picked up a win over No. 4 Wisconsin-Whitewater on March 29 by allowing just one hit in four innings of pitching. He earned the save against No. 11 Wisconsin-La Crosse on April 2 while striking out four batters. The honor was announced Tuesday.

St. Scholastica is 3-2 in games Rocha has appeared in this spring, according to the college's website. He has thrown 11.1 innings, giving up nine hits while striking out 13 and walking eight. He is 1-0 with a save and an ERA of 3.97. The team is 11-6 overall.

During his freshman year with the Saints in 2016, he got the victory in the UMAC tournament championship game. His first collegiate save came with three scoreless innings tossed against MIAC powerhouse St. Thomas. Rocha appeared in 14 games, all in relief, as a freshman and surrendered just one earned run over the final 21 innings he pitched.

Rocha was also part of the Saints' football team his freshman year. He is majoring in exercise physiology.

Rocha led the Huskies in victories during his senior season in 2015. He also played football and basketball for Owatonna.
