Owatonna Foundation Fund Raising Campaign Underway

The Owatonna Foundation is holding its annual fundraising campaign. Their efforts have had a significant impact on the community for nearly 60 years.

2015 marks the 58th year of the Owatonna Foundation serving the community by providing funds for "brick and mortar" grants. The foundation supports projects in the areas of education, recreation, arts and community. They also provide scholarships for both traditional and nontraditional students at two-year colleges and technical schools.

In a news release, Dave Einhaus, president of the Owatonna Foundation, said, "The Owatonna Foundation wishes to express its deepest gratitude to the people of Owatonna for their continued support of the Foundation and its mission of improving the quality of life the present and future generations. During this season of giving, we hope that people will consider a gift to the Foundation so that we may continue the Foundation's legacy of supporting the Owatonna community."

Since its establishment in 1957, the Owatonna Foundation has made grants and scholarships totaling more than $11.5 million. Examples include the Steele County History Center, River Springs Water Park, scoreboards at Dartt's Park and the Owatonna Soccer Complex, Homestead Hospice House and the Central Park band shell.
