Only a Few Nerds Live in Minnesota
We all have a little nerd in us. Some people can't share enough cat memes on social media, some collect Wizard of Oz bobble-heads, and some obsess over super-hero movies.

The real estate website Estately did a study to determine which U.S. states have the most nerds per capita. According to their data Minnesota is a state with "few" nerds.
To determine the rankings they analyzed Facebook data for every state to find what percent of users listed any of the 12 items below as interests:
- Star Trek: The Next Generation
- Cosplay
- Harry Potter
- Star Wars
- Anime Movies
- Dungeons & Dragons
- LARPing (Live Action Role-Playing)
- Doctor Who
- Fantasy Lit
- Lord of the Rings
- Magic: The Gathering
- Comic Books
Utah was the nerdiest state. Minnesota landed at number 36. Our highest ranking came in the 'Lord of the Rings' section - we were 12th in the country.
