Our trip to the Professional Pride Realty office in Northfield Wednesday resulted in a very interesting program concerning the MSHSL Clay Target 2019 State Tournament in Prior Lake.

Northfield Raiders Head Coach Scott Quiring and team member Lucas Gilimon stopped by Professional Pride during our bi-monthly program about happenings in Northfield.  330 teams participated in tournament action in Prior Lake to trim the number to 40 teams to get to state so just getting there is an amazing accomplishment.

The top 40 teams (5 highest scores regardless of classification) based on total team score from the Minnesota State High School League Clay Target League Trap Shooting Championship qualify for the State Tournament.

Sam Miller of Northfield placed 5th among the top 100 individual shooters in the state.

Giloman will be a junior this fall at Northfield High School.  Other members of the team were Matthew Bell, Elias Quiring and Derek Salaba.  Alternates were Matthew Riehm and Tanner Wood.

The Northfield Clay Target Team had over 100 members this year.  The top 5 with 2 alternates go to state competition.
