The Northfield Chamber of Commerce and Tourism holds their 14th annual Golfapalooza Golf Tournament at the Northfield Golf and Country Club Thursday.  Lunch will be served beginning at 11:00 a.m. courtesy of the City of Northfield.  The best ball event has a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.

Chamber President Lisa Peterson and Events and Membership Coordinator Jane Bartho joined us on our Chamber edition of the Professional Pride Realty Northfield AM Minnesota program.  Pete Mergens owner of Professional Pride Realty has been very involved in the tournament over the years because he believes in the networking it provides.

Mergens told AM Minnesota listeners getting together with other business owners provides a great opportunity to not only get to know other people but for other people to get to know you and what your business provides.

KDHL/POWER 96 Radio is proud to be a hole sponsor at the event.  Following the golf Community Resource Bank will be providing the Dinner.

On the 17th hole people have a chance to win a golf cart if they achieve a hole in one.

Peterson added another highlight is the Peanut Man from Planters will be on hand throughout the day because, "He is nutty for Northfield."

Mark down on your calendars July 25th because that is the date for Crazy Daze in Northfield.  Stores open at 7:00 a.m. with city-wide bargains, sidewalk sales galore and crazy activities.
