New Vehicle Sought in Dodge County Attempted Murder Case
Mantorville, MN (KROC-AM News) - Dodge County investigators have recovered a car linked to an attempted murder case.
Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose says investigators and deputies executed a search warrant at a residence in West Concord and found the 2013 gray Ford Taurus sedan that a witness saw being used by the man who cut a man across his neck and then threw him off a bridge into a creek in rural Dodge County. The vehicle is registered to 27-year-old Elvylinda Favela Lopez, who is the wife of the suspect in the case, Rigo Eleazar Lopez Macias.
Sheriff Rose says the couple is now likely traveling in a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which is also registered in Lopez's name. The vehicle was issued Minnesota license plate 575UCM.
The couple's residence is in Rochester but they are also known to frequently travel back and forth to Mexico. Anyone who sees either Macias or Lopez or the Jeep Grand Cherokee is asked to call 911. Macias is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
