New Fall Television Season
It is almost October, and there is a new Fall TV season underway. I have seen several of the season premieres of my choice shows, like "The Big Bang Theory" and I even caught part of "Law & Order: SVU" although it just isn't the same without Detective Elliot Stabler. I have also watched a couple of new shows; "Young Sheldon" which is a spin-off of "The Big Bang Theory." That show was quite humorous, I am sure I will watch it again. I missed the reboot of "Will and Grace" and it sounds like I may have to tune in next week.
One show really stands out, "The Good Doctor." Freddie Highmore stars as Dr. Shaun Murphy, a surgical resident with autism and savant syndrome. He does such a good job portraying the character, I was sucked in to the show within the first five minutes. Of course, the creator of this show, David Shore, is responsible for the show "House" which I also just loved. I am hoping that this show will handle autism with respect to those who are truly diagnosed with it, as well as how they look at the world a bit differently.
You can see "The Good Doctor" on ABC at 9pm CST, on Monday evenings at this time. I have included the trailer here; I am hoping it entices you to watch, at least once.
