New Business Spotted on North Broadway in Rochester, Minnesota!
Before I tell you about the new business, I have to just warn all of the coffee lovers like myself. Although the name of the place suggests that it is a new coffee shop, sadly, it is not. In fact, when I first heard this spot was open I got excited and was ready to hop in my car to check it out because a local cofffee shop on North Broadway by Kwik Trip would be awesome! Good chance I'd be there every day.
Instead, this new place is something my teenagers would like. If you've got teenagers, you'll see why in a second.
The Drip is Now Open in Rochester, Minnesota
I'm pretty sure I am not the typical person that will be shopping at The Drip, but I know my kids have already been there.
FYI, The Drip is NOT a coffee shop, like I originally thought. Nope, according to their Facebook page, The Drip is a "high end shoes and clothing resale" store.
The grand opening for the new place was May 19th until the 21st but you can check out their shoe selection, their variety of sizes, as well as their clothing options from 11:30 am until 7:30 pm every day at 3020 N Broadway Ave Suite 300 in Rochester. (Get Directions Here)
Why is a Shoe Store in Rochester Called The Drip?
If you don't have teenagers, this won't make sense at all, but the kids today are calling the items that they wear "drip". It took me a bit to put the two and two together on this, but I honestly should have caught on sooner because my kids say "drip" all of the time. And, "bruh". I am no longer "mom", I am "bruh".
The only tip that I have is that The Drip should target moms with their advertising. Why? If my kids want to spend some money at this store, they are going to be asking me for it. You've got to get the moms on board because we make the decisions and we are normally the ones driving our kids around. #JustSayin
What Store Should Open Next in Rochester?
I'm curious, what store do you think is missing in the Med City? I'm pretty sure Bed Bath & Beyond is empty now. Something fun should go in there. What fun ideas do you have for that spot or other places that are vacant? Let me know - just tap on the post below and add your comment to the Facebook post or leave me a message on the Y-105FM app.
