Great news if you're a water park lover! Bunker beach, aka Minnesota's largest water park is making plans to reopen this summer!

On April 22nd the Coon Rapids water park announced news on their official Facebook page that they're working on finalizing their reopening plan.

"We're ready for some MEGA fun this summer with the MEGA soaker! We're finalizing our plans and look forward to your visit this summer! #bunkerbeachmn".

Bunker Beach Water Park has a heated wave pool, 6 waterslides, a large lazy river, a leisure pool with a rock climbing wall and a 3,000 square foot lagoon area along with a large family bathroom building.

The water park also posted job openings for lifeguards, concessions and guest services via their website. It looks like they're getting all of their ducks in a row to open soon.

However, there's no official opening date set yet. Their website says, "Bunker Beach Water Park 2021 Season Pass Sales and Group Reservations are currently on-hold due to the unknown Minnesota Department of Health reopening of public swimming pool and aquatic facilities."

Last summer, the water park was forced to shut down due to the COVID-19 restrictions in Minnesota. The City of Minneapolis made the decision to keep the pools and beaches closed.

The Anoka County Board of Commissioners voted during its April 14 meeting to close Bunker Beach Water Park for the 2020 season as a public safety measure amid the coronavirus outbreak. Our team will be contacting all customers who purchased season passes to issue full refunds. We appreciate your continued support and wish everyone good health in this challenging time."

It looks like they're just waiting for the green light and warmer weather. We can't wait to hit up the water park again!
