Maplewood,MN (KROC AM News) - A pedestrian was killed in a Twin Cities suburb Thursday night after being struck by two vehicles and one of the drivers apparently failed to stop.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the victim was walking across Highway 120 in Maplewood around 9:00 PM when she was hit by a car that was headed north and an SUV that was southbound.

The victim was identified as 67-year-old Susan Sina of Oakdale. The State Patrol says the car that struck the victim was driven by 89-year-old Robert Lyden of St Paul. At last report, the driver of the SUV had not been located.

A slippery road may have been a contributing factor in a fatal wreck in central Minnesota early Friday.

The State Patrol says a semi-truck with a load of live turkeys was driving on Highway 12 near Willmar around 12:30 AM when the driver lost control and the rig rolled. The driver - 65-year-old Gary Vergin of Willmar - died at the scene.

The State Patrol says the road was covered with snow and ice.
