Minnesota is Uniquely Into THIS Food for Super Bowl Sunday
The Super Bowl is this Sunday night, and Google has combed through the data to determine what food each state will be chowing down on more than other states, as they recently shared on Delish.
It doesn't meant that more Minnesotans will be eating this than anything else (#ChickenWings), but it does mean that we're weirdly going to be eating it more than most other states on Sunday -- and no it's not lutefisk or tater to hot dish.
It's White Chicken Chili (and I have absolutely no problem with that)! In fact, maybe its an idea for my Super Bowl Sunday slow cooker.
Some kind of dip is the most common result across America. It's Spinach Artichoke Dip in California and Nebraska, 7-Layer Dip in Arizona and Missouri, and Pizza Dip (?) in Washington.
Appetizers also appear pretty popular on the list; things like Pigs in a Blanket in North Carolina and Nevada, Jalapeño Poppers in Illinois, and Chicken Wings in Washington DC.
Georgia, South Carolina, Maryland, and Connecticut are kind of on the same page as us, with Chili on top on those states.
What about our crazy neighbors? Good question.
- Wisconsin: Pulled Pork
- Iowa: Football Cookies (WTF?)
- North Dakota: Cake (also WTF?)
- South Dakota: Buffalo Chicken Dip
To be fair, North Dakota wasn't the only state to go with cake. Montana, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey are also all apparently cake-eaters. Rhode Island is a bit more refined, preferring cupcakes.
If you're looking for some Super Bowl inspired menu items, maybe it's a Cuban sandwich from Tampa, or some Barbecue from KC.
Super Bowl 50 kicks off this Sunday at 5:30 PM CT on CBS.
