Minnesota Gophers Face Auburn Today in Outback Bowl
The #18 Minnesota Golden Gophers (10-2) will face the #12 Auburn Tigers (9-3) this afternoon in the 2020 Outback Bowl in Tampa, Florida.
It will be the first time the two Big Ten and SEC teams have ever faced each other.
Auburn is coming off a 48-45 upset of Alabama in the annual 'Iron Bowl,' while the Gophers enjoyed a 10-win regular season, and were in contention for the Big Ten West title, until the end of the season when they lost to Iowa and Wisconsin.
The Outback Bowl will be Minnesota's second straight bowl appearance under head coach P.J. Fleck. Minnesota played in the Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit last season and beat Georgia Tech 34-10.
The Golden Gophers are 7 point underdogs against Auburn today.
