Man Arrested for Assaulting Owatonna Police Officers
A 24-year-old Clarkfield, MN man was arrested and charged after confronting and assaulting Owatonna police officers. The Owatonna Police Department's newsletter Just the Facts reports that the recent incident began when officers responded to a call of an unwanted person. Officers arrived to find that the man in question had left, but he returned while officers were on the scene.
Just the Facts indicates the man was told he had to leave, however, "The suspect pushed his way through the officer and entered the apartment and continued to push the officer once inside. The suspect continued to struggle with the officer until the officer deployed his Taser with limited effect."
"The suspect pulled the Taser probes and continued coming toward the officer. A second Taser deployment took place and incapacitated the suspect. Later, the suspect spit at another arresting officer." Brian Trevino was arrested and was charged with several crimes.
