Good News For Packer Fans With Full Capacity Being Allowed At Lambeau Field For This Coming Season
The Green Bay Packer organization announced that Lambeau Field will be allowed to be at FULL capacity this upcoming season. Now for an average team in the NFL with all the quarterback controversy surrounding the star of the team possibly leaving, a full stadium might not even happen. But this is never the case for die hard Packer fans, it will be full every game no matter what the outcome with Aaron Rodgers.
In a statement released by the Packers they will not require fans that are fully vaccinated to wear masks, or be required to show proof of vaccinations. But those not vaccinated will be required to wear masks and signs will be posted throughout the stadium reminding fans about the CDC guidelines and encouraging everyone to get vaccinated.
KBJR reported on a statement from Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy:
The Packers are planning for the season and the various activities that annually help all of us get excited for the return of football. We continue to encourage individuals to follow CDC recommendations, including getting vaccinated, as it greatly reduces risk of viral infection and transmission in fully vaccinated individuals. We look forward to once again experiencing the incredible atmosphere our fans provide at training camp, games and events.
This news has to be a game changer for players and fans alike as we all know last year games were played in near empty stadiums or with cardboard cutouts of fans. But as with any type of large gathering it is up to each individual to do their best to protect themselves and others and follow CDC guidelines so that we do not go backwards into how the pandemic was before. The Packers first Pre Season home game is August 14 when they take on the Houston Texans. Go Pack Go!
