After 25 years of life, Little Caesar's $5 Hot-N-Ready pizza is no more. They've upped the price here in Rochester, Minnesota, at their Hiway 14 location, and across the nation by 11%.

According to CNN Business,

Little Caesars is selling a "new and improved" version of the recognizable pizza, which has 33% more pepperoni and a new price of $5.55.

Ooooh, 33% more pepperoni? Did they cheap out on the pepperoni before or is the extra price because of the extra pepperoni? Inquiring minds want to know.

It's me, I'm inquiring minds.

The now dead and gone Little Caesar's $5 Hot-N-Ready pizza was born in 2001...it made quite the splash in the pizza world because it was HOT and READY for you to get it now. No ordering needed.

There will be no wake, no funeral, not even a memorial service for the $5 Hot-N-Ready pizza, it's being swept aside, more pepperoni is being added, and the new $5.55 Hot-N-Ready pizza is taking its place.

CNN reports,

The revamped version of the Hot-N-Ready is a permanent menu change and the price could cost more in some cities after the nationwide promotional price ends after a "limited time."

So expect the new $5.55 Hot-N-Ready pizza to be tossed out on its ear, as it really is a low price compared to the major national chains. Those national chains, like Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, and Domino's have been cleaning up cash-wise during the pandemic.

Personal Note: I'm making jokes, but I've eaten my weight, your weight, and maybe even my nephew's dog's weight in Little Caesar's $5 pizza. The price increase looks like it's a temporary move to bridge us to a high price altogether. That's biz, folks.
