While at work I just happened to look up in the sky and what did I spy with my little eye? A bright sunny blue sky with a single hot air balloon floating along. It was cool. I told account exec Rich Will and we both went outside. Me with my camera and Rich with his phone.

It was kind of hard to find one hot air balloon in a blue sky with a camera. Eventually I did and zoomed in as close as I could and click. I think the picture turned out. You can kind of see a design and the colors. I only had one chance at it. I could not find out any information on where they were going or where they came from. They were out of range.

Hot air balloons are cool. I found out there is a Hot Air Balloon festival in Duluth in September this year. My mom went to one on one of her bus trips. All the different shapes, sizes and colors. Cool.

I then did a little digging to find out about hot air balloons. To fly one it is preferred to have light winds, maybe 5 mph, and clear blue skies with white puffy clouds, without storms in the area. Temperature-wise it is OK to be a little cool, and it is OK if it is a little warm, too.

It was a nice surprise to see a hot air balloon up and about. The view from the balloon was probably pretty cool, too.

The sun is shining above ... Think Happy Thoughts.
