A program called Kids Bowl Free has been around since 2007 and over 35 million kids have enjoyed free bowling all summer long because of it. It is back for 2023 and registration is open right now.

When I first heard of this program, I thought it was too good to be true. If that is what is running through your mind right now, let me assure you that it isn't. My kids have all been registered for Kids Bowl Free and honestly, it made the extremely hot days or the days full of rain a little bit more enjoyable.
Here are a few details about the Kids Bowl Free program to know:
- This is a national program - so yes, if you are reading this and live outside of Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois, there is a good chance a bowling alley near you is also participating.
- Kids that are registered can bowl two free games each day.

- If you are curious about the Rochester, Minnesota bowling alleys, Bowlocity's age limit is 2 to 15. Colonial Lanes' age limit is 2 to 17.

- Are There Any Extra Fees? Your child does need to wear bowling shoes so if you don't own those, those will need to be rented or purchased. Some of the bowling alleys do offer a family pass and a punch card for shoes, which will help save additional money.
