The Kenyon Police Department is looking for the public's help in identifying a thief. The person of interest was scared off by a neighbor, and some images of the individual were captured on video.

According to the Kenyon Police Department, the incident involved a commercial vehicle and the thief targeting its catalytic converter. The thief was scared off by a neighbor who heard a power tool running in the early morning hours and yelled at the thief.

"the suspect appears to be working alone and used a battery powered saw to remove the catalytic converter from a commercial vehicle in around two minutes. The suspect is startled by a observant neighbor and flees the area with the catalytic converter and the portable saw that was used." - Kenyon Police Facebook Post

The person of interest in this case may be tied to a silver vehicle seen in some of the stills attached to the post below.

You can watch a video of the thief fleeing with the catalytic converter and saw here. The Kenyon Police Department noted in the post to social media that this is the second reported stolen catalytic converter recently.
