ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- The Anoka Vet Center is opening a satellite Vet Center in southeast St. Cloud to help more veterans gain access to counseling, engagement, and referral services in a non-medical setting.

A dedication ceremony will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at 330 Highway 10 South, Suite 101.

The satellite Vet Center will be available to eligible veterans, and service members, including members of the National Guard and Reserve and their families.

The Vet Center Outstation will have at least one full-time counselor on hand Monday through Friday to help with things like depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, and military sexual trauma.

There is no cost to eligible veterans.

The dedication ceremony will include remarks by U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Chief Readjustment Counseling Officer Michael Fisher, Governor Tim Walz, and others.

The day will also commemorate the 45th anniversary of Vet Centers.
