Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A felony charge has been filed against a woman accused of stealing a vehicle from a Rochester transportation company.

The criminal complaint, filed in Olmsted County Court earlier this week, states the alleged vehicle theft happened last October. 

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office recovered the SUV and identified the theft suspect in November.

Tiffany Lee Sinclair is charged with one count of motor vehicle theft

She is alleged to have stolen the vehicle from Superior Mobility’s office in northeast Rochester. The organization offers rides to individuals in need of transportation.

After taking the stolen vehicle report in October, an Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office deputy encountered the vehicle in the area of 48th St. NE and North Broadway Ave. on November 17. 

The deputy lost sight of the vehicle but later found it parked outside of a trailer at the Rocky Creek Estates in northeast Rochester, the court document says.

Once the vehicle left the mobile home park, the deputy stopped it and identified Sinclair as the driver. Sinclair was taken to the Olmsted County Jail for questioning but was released, according to the complaint. 

In March law enforcement confirmed with Superior Mobility that Sinclair was not authorized to take the vehicle, the court document indicates. 

Sinclair is being charged by summons. Her first court appearance is scheduled for October.
