22-Year-Old Rochester Man Facing Child Porn Charge Following Investigation Triggered by Cyber Tip
Rochester police connected the account associated with the cyber tip to 22-year-old Alejandro Gael Lopez, the complaint says.
The complaint accuses Lopez of uploading a lewd photo of an 8-10 year-old girl to Discord.
On Tuesday, officers executed a search warrant on Lopez’s person and his home. Police stopped Lopez as he was leaving work in downtown Rochester and seized a phone, according to the court document.
The complaint says a search of the phone showed the information associated with the Discord account included in the cyber tip. Officers also found numerous other electronic devices at Lopez’s home and a child-size sex doll, the complaint alleges.
Lopez is charged with one count of possession of pornographic work involving a minor under the age of 14.
He was released without bail following his first court appearance Thursday morning and is due back in court in October.
