‘Chicago Fire’ Gives A Nod To St. Paul In Season Nine
Time for a throwback! Over the weekend, I threw on one of my favorite shows to play in the background as I did some chores. If you love first responder dramas, you would definitely love Chicago Fire.
It has been on for fourteen seasons, having just wrapped its latest season this spring. With a fifteenth season set for the fall, I decided to do a little rewatch. I've seen every season but the last few, since I got a little behind.

In order to catch up, I wanted to rewatch some of the most recent seasons so I could remember what happened. I popped on a random episode as a starting point and what do you know? There was a Minnesota mention.
Of course, this isn't the first time this has happened. In a season eight episode titled Best Friend Magic, Duluth itself is mentioned in a quick line. The premise? A suspect trying to flee to Canada stopped in Duluth. Ha!
Minnesota Gets Mention On Episode Of 'Chicago Fire'
Just one season later, Minnesota got yet another mention but this time it was St. Paul in the spotlight. In the episode titled Natural Born Firefighter, a felon witnesses a fire and springs into action to help save a life.

The episode, which is episode twelve of the season, has a happy ending, which sees the felon getting the opportunity to go interview for a firefighting job in Minnesota. He always wanted to be one but couldn't because of his record. At least he will be used to the cold winters, right?
What a fun little Minnesota surprise. Randomly enough, Duluth and Minnesota both have received fun shoutouts and mentions on television shows throughout the years. It's always fun and puts a smile on my face since I love pop culture.

There is even a pretty popular FOX show that is set in Minnesota. That show follows a fictional hospital in Minneapolis and is your standard medical drama. They get some things right about the Land Of 10,000 Lakes and a few things wrong.

Either way, it definitely makes watching television a little more fun. I wonder what other show will give us a shout next! The show has nearly 300 episodes and airs on NBCs, returning this fall.
