It’s Been A Deadly Week For Minnesota Motorcyclists
Shafer, MN (KROC AM News) - It has been a deadly week for motorcyclists in Minnesota.
There have been several fatal accidents involving two-wheeled drivers and the latest happened Friday, claiming the life of a 67-year-old man who collided with a farm tractor.
The wreck happened around 11:30 am in the town of Shafer in extreme east-central Minnesota, near Taylors Falls. The State Patrol says the motorcyclist was driving on Highway 8 when he collided with the tractor in an intersection. The motorcyclist was identified as Gregory Stage of nearby Lindstrom. The tractor was driven by 59-year-old Mark Folson of Shafer. He was not hurt.
A Duluth motorcyclist was injured Friday when he collided with a pickup truck as it pulled out from a stop sign. The State Patrol says 79-year-old Bruce Hagen was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The truck he collided with was driven by 61-year-old David Modert of Brooklyn Park. He was not hurt. The crash happened around 10:30 am in Proctor, near Duluth.
