Iowa Authorities: Man Has Stolen Vehicles in Six Different Counties
Authorities here in Iowa are searching for a man they say is behind a series of thefts of a wide variety of vehicles.
The Sheriff's Office in Union County in south central Iowa, southwest of Des Moines, has released a statement asking for the public's help locating Daniel Floyd Edwards. They say Edwards has been tied to a wide variety of vehicle thefts in six different Iowa counties: Adair, Adams, Cass, Madison, Ringgold, and Union.
The Union County Sheriff's Office says that Edwards is believed to have stolen "motorcycles, cars, pickups, 4-wheelers, tractors, dump trucks, and semis" in the six counties mentioned above.
As reported by KCCI, the release states "Edwards is wanted on parole violations and has nationwide extradition... He is known to abuse drugs, has violent tendencies, and will drive at high speeds recklessly showing no regard for other persons welfare. He can become physically violent when cornered."
Edwards is 5'11" and weighs 220 pounds. He sometimes shaves the beard he's seen with in the photo below. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Edwards is asked to call the Union County Sheriff's Office at (641) 782-8402.
