Incredible Winter Stargazing Event in Faribault

It's definitely starting to sort of feel like spring but we know as Minnesotans that we aren't quite out of the woods of winter yet. One way you can make the most of it as we not-so-patiently wait for spring to officially come is by getting outdoors and checking out this cool stargazing event that is coming up later this month in Faribault!

I don't know much about constellations but I can recognize Orion's Belt, the Big and Little Dipper, and Cassiopeia but beyond that, I've got nothing. If you'd like to know more about the constellations in our night sky, how to spot them, and more about our solar system this is perfect for you.

The event will be at River Bend Nature Center and meteorologist Mike Lynch from WCCO radio will be there to guide you along. Also, you won't have to just look with the naked eye, there will be some high-tech equipment too! There will be some telescopes to use and, weather-permitting "an astronomical camera-telescope system" set up to check out.

If you're interested in the event it's $10 per person to attend. It takes place Monday, March 14th from 7:30-9:30 PM. They say the event is only for people 14 and older.
