The weather forecast is excellent with the wind expected to die down, sunshine during the day and a high temperature in the low 80's predicted for Friday and Saturday.
I stopped down for the Mayor's Reception Thursday and saw Cenral Park bustling with activity. The musical group Branded Hot Country was excellent. The food is very good with a terrific variety.

This year's parade features most of Faribault's living former Mayors as Grand Marshals.
Included are John Jasinski, Jeanette Hammond, Dean Purdie and current Mayor Kevin Voracek.
A couple of them said at the Mayor's Reception when I visited with them that former Mayors no longer with us could not be so honored but they could have been named Honorary Grand Marshals and photos of each could have been on a float or something.
That might have actually been cool
