Here’s How You Can Reduce the Number of Robocalls You Get
Robocalls are the most annoying things ever. I never answer my phone if I don't know who it is because usually, it's a robocall. Turns out, that's the right thing to do according to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). They also have a few other tips to help reduce the number of robocalls you get.
KTTC writes that the FCC says "the number of robocalls to Minnesotans doubled between 2017 and 2018." Unfortunately, the FCC has no solution for stopping robocalls but there are ways to prevent them.
They say the best thing to do is to not answer the phone if you don't know who it is. You can also register your number on the Do Not Call Registry. Keyla Hernandez-Ulloa who's with the FCC says, "'To register [your] number on the National Do Not Call Registry [you] can find the info available online, we recommend that everyone sign every phone number in your home.'”
Here's a video from the FCC of even more tips to help prevent robocalls.
