Faribault Volleyball 2-2 at Farmington Invite

The Faribault Falcons defeated Delano, Red Wing and fell to Rosemount, Farmington at the Farmington Invite Saturday.  Scores in the Delano match were 25-12, 25-6.

Faribault defeated Red Wing 2-1, 25-13, 20-25, 15-12.  The Falcons fell to Rosemount 2-0, 25-18, 25-19 and Farmington 2-1, 25-21, 21-25, 8-15.

Faribault is now 6-7 overall and enters this week 2-1 in the Big Nine.  The Falcons host Albert Lea Tuesday and go to Red Wing Thursday for conference contests.

The Falcons have had slow starts in a number of their matches this season but did well in that area Saturday in the Farmington Invite.  Winning the first set against 3 of the 4 opponents they faced.

Faribault is very young and talented with no seniors on their team but athletic ladies who need to develop better chemistry on the floor.  That doesn't just happen.  You have to work at it.

Communication is huge in volleyball and several times in their loss last Tuesday at Mankato West  there was a lack of communication that led to some easy points for the Scarlets.
