Faribault Junior Olivia Williamson scored 4 goals in a 7-1 girls hockey win over the Mankato East Cougars in Faribault Thursday evening.  The Falcons outshot the Cougars 48-24 and had just one penalty in the game.  Faribault was 1 for 3 on the power play.  Senior Ellie Knutson set the tone early with a goal 2:59 into the game assisted by Haley Lang.  Mankato East tied the game at 11:05 and was shut out the rest of the way.

Twenty five seconds into the second period Olivia Willliamson got her first goal assisted by Abigail Goodwin and Olivia Morelan.  Knutson scored again at 3:50 assisted by Lang and Alexis Velander.  Williamson got her second goal 12:21.  It was unassisted.  Williamson achieved a hat trick 5:48 into the final period with an assist to Goodwin.  Rylie Starkson scored for the Falcons at 8:42 with an assist to Regan Bulger.  Williamson recorded her fourth goal on the power play at 11:44 assisted by Starkson and Kayli Burkhartzmeyer.

Mikayla Bohner had 23 saves for Faribault. Andrea Schreiber had 41 saves for Mankato East.  With the win the Falcons keep pace with the Northfield Raiders in the Big Nine Conference race and avenge one of their earlier conference losses.

Talk about peppering the net Northfield had 65 shots on goal and won 2-0 at Rochester Mayo tonight.  Makayla Pahl was in net for Mayo.  The Spartans shot total was 4.  Mya Wesling and Cambria Monson scored for Northfield.
