Early Morning Storm Contributed to Crash Near Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Two teenage girls were transported by ambulance to St. Marys Hospital following a single-vehicle crash at a rural intersection on Highway 52 southeast of Rochester.
The State Patrol says 18-year-old Elizabeth Bradley of Plainview and an unidentified 16-year-old girl were passengers in an SUV driven by 17-year-old Aubree Powell of Rochester. The crash report indicates she was driving on Olmsted County Road 7 when the SUV apparently hydroplaned and caused the vehicle to slide across Highway 52 and into the ditch on the east of the roadway about 3 miles north of Chatfield.
The crash was reported shortly before 5 am. All three occupants of the SUV we seatbelted. The driver was not hurt and Bradley’s injuries were described as non-life threatening. Information about the second passenger has not been released.
