If you put away your parka and moved the snowblower to the back of the garage, I'm not judging you one bit. I myself am so ready for spring that I've already started plotting out my garden for this year. But we both need to take a deep breath and realize that we are in the part of the year known as "false spring".

Spring doesn't officially start in Minnesota until March 20th, but leading up to it this year we are going to be gifted some truly amazing weather from Mother Nature. Daytime highs in the 40s as far as the 10-day forecast can predict. But that doesn't mean we are out of the woods just yet.

In the past few years, there has always been a significant snowstorm around the second or third week of March. In years past it has usually been when the band Hairball is trying to play outdoors at Bernick's Arena in Sartell.

There is a chart that tends to make the rounds on social media around this time of year, detailing exactly where we are when it comes to seasons in Minnesota.

Minnesota Seasons:

- Winter

-Fool's Spring

-Second Winter

-Spring of Deception (We are currently here)

-Third Winter

-The Pollening

-Actual Spring

-Summer

-Hell's Front Porch

-False Fall

-Second Summer

-Actual Fall

As badly as we want winter to be over, we still have a few good weeks to go before "The Pollening" and "Actual Spring" get here. But until then I encourage you to enjoy the melting snow and warm sunshine. I know I will!
