Do You Know These 7 Things Funded by Owatonna Foundation?

Whether you are into arts, education or the community, you have without doubt run across things funded by the Owatonna Foundation this week. I went to the Owatonna Public Library this week. I ate lunch one day in Central Park, near the band shell. I'm going to the homecoming football game Friday night.

Owatonna Foundation Week is being celebrated through October 9. The week recognizes the accomplishments over more than 60 years of working toward the Owatonna Foundation's mission, "to improve the quality of life for present and future generations by supporting Owatonna projects that focus on community, arts, recreation, and education."

The all-inclusive playground at Manthey Park in Owatonna received funding from the Owatonna Foundation. The site includes a Miracle Field ball diamond.

River Springs water park offers many amenities to families to enjoy and get a cool off during a hot summer day.

The Owatonna Arts Center has received funding from the Owatonna Foundation.

Owatonna's parks and trails system is a benefactor of the Owatonna Foundation.

The Owatonna Foundation has assisted the Steele County Fair. (No word on who is responsible for getting a snake wrapped around fair manager Scott Kozelka.)
