You will soon have the opportunity to bid on items confiscated by DNR officers.

We are holding a second online auction Oct. 24, which includes 252 firearms and 39 bows, to sell equipment that was part of serious game and fish violations.

The bidding catalog of items will be available online October 20th and will include a written description and photos of each item. If you are more of an in-person auction goer, an onsite inspection is available Friday, October 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hiller Auction Service in Zimmerman.

If you are looking for new equipment before the firearm season opens, this would be a great opportunity. Scrolling through the online catalog there is a little bit of everything up for bidding. Bows, guns, trail cameras, portable heaters, spotlights, deer stands, and even a 13-point deer shoulder mount. It is all up for auction on the 20th.

The DNR noted that bidders who purchase a firearm will be required to pass a Federal Firearms background check in person when paying for and picking up the firearm at the auction location. Items can also only be picked up in person, there will be no shipping option.
