Cousins and Thielen Named NFL’s Best QB-WR Duo
We're going into Week 7 and so far this season the NFL is saying that the dynamic between Kirk Cousins and Adam Thielen is the best in the biz. ESPN writes that they rank "first among all QB-WR duos in receptions (58) and receiving yards (712) and have a chance to rewrite several team and NFL single-season marks."
Thielen has upped the ante quite a bit in the past few years despite the change in quarterbacks. He's gone from 69 catches for 967 yards in 2016 to 91 catches for 1,276 yards last season, a team-best!
As for Cousins, ESPN predicts that if he keeps playing the way he is currently there's the chance he'll challenge Peyton Mannings single-season passing record. The record was set in 2013 at 5,477 yards and right now Cousins is at 1,921 yards after only 6 games.
ESPN continues by saying that "under pressure, there’s no one Cousins has gone to more in the first six games than Thielen."
