Cannon Valley Farmers’ Market, Fair Food Trucks, Coming To Rice County Fairgrounds Saturday

While it's the 'opener' this weekend, those that might not be headed out of town to fish might want to stop by the Rice County Fairgrounds for the Cannon Valley Farmers' Market and fair food trucks this Saturday.

In a press release sent out by the Cannon Valley Farmers' Market, there will be four separate events taking place at the fairgrounds this weekend, which are different enough that there is probably something for everyone to enjoy.

The four events that are taking place on Saturday are the Cannon Valley Farmers' Market, Rice County Historical Society’s Annual Spring Flea Market, Fair Food Truck Event, and the Rice County Master Gardeners’ Plant Sale.

The community is invited to enjoy four events happening at the Rice County Fairgrounds this Saturday, May 14^th. The Cannon Valley Farmers’ Market, Rice County Historical Society’s Annual Spring Flea Market, Fair Food Truck Event, and the Rice County Master Gardeners’ Plant Sale. The four events will be spread out throughout the day and throughout the Rice County Fairgrounds in Faribault. Rice County Historical Society’s Annual Spring Flea Market opens at 8:00am and goes until 2:00pm near the Historical Society. The Cannon Valley Farmers’ Market will be 10:00am-2:00pm under the carport near the Grandstand. The Rice County Master Gardeners’ Plant Sale is 9:00am – 12:00pm inside the 4-H Building. The Food Truck Event will set up on the carnival grounds West side of the fairgrounds from 9:00am – 3:00pm both Saturday and Sunday.  - Cannon Valley Farmers' Market Press Release

Allison's Wonderland Acres - Friendship tea, elderberry syrup, cauliflower al pastor, savory tomato jam, tika masala sauce, sweet pepper relish, mango chutney, marinated red bell peppers, tomatillo salsa, kimchi, lemon preserves, pickled pearl onions, marinated mushrooms, watermelon relish, strawberry vinegar, and more.
Aunt Kathy's Kitchen - Candies, jams, jellies, relishes, pickles, homemade crackers
Boomflower Farm - Chicken, whole duck, eggs(chicken, duck, turkey), soap, shampoo bars, conditioner bars, lotion, salve, face wash, lip balm.
Buck's Beef - Beef products from beef raised with no corn, antibiotics, or hormones
CannonBelles - Cheese curds, cheddar cheese, queso fresco, gouda
Cannon Valley Butcher's Block - Pastured pork, loin roasts, tenderloin, charcuterie bundles, nitrate-free ham(limited quantity), pepperoni, bacon, salami, ground pork, whole chicken, lard soap.
Cannon River Fiber Farm - Mohair and alpaca fiber products. Stock up on sock yarn and more fiber products.
Get Bentz Farm - Fiber products, yarn, roving, batting, sheep skulls, wool blankets, and pillows
Goodfellow Goodies- Granola, baked goods
Joe Mama BBQ and Seasons - BBQ sauce, ketchup, seasoning blends
Lor Family (Bao Xiong) - Starter plants, produce, flowers

Mirabella Acres - Black garlic, bread, cinnamon rolls, jams, jellies, salsa, pickled veggies, muffins, sweets, lemon curd, produce.
Ophelia's Hope Alpacas - Alpaca yarn, dryer balls, rugs, socks, hats, mittens.
Rotational Roots - Microgreens, spring produce
Peaceful Valley Pastures - Grass-fed beef, hamburger patties, sirloin steaks, brisket, tenderloin, ground beef, fajita steak, liver, and more.
Santa Martha's Cafe - Locally roasted, direct trade coffee from Nicaragua, Tanzania, and Guatemala.
Shepherd's Way Farm - Sheep milk cheese (including Big Woods Blue), bottled sheep milk, chicken and duck eggs, lamb meats and sausages, Wool bedding, mattress toppers, comforters, pillows, milk soap.
Whispering Creek Farm Girls - Goat milk bar soap, lotion, body cream, washcloths, soap holder.
