Brian Wilson and Beach Boys to Reunite for Town Hall Q&A
The surviving members of the Beach Boys will appear together for the first time since 2012 when they take part in a Town Hall Q&A on SiriusXM on Aug. 10.
The members last shared a stage on the final night of their 50th anniversary tour, after which Love continued to perform with a different Beach Boys lineup. Wilson released solo album, No Pier Pressure, in 2015, then Love put out Unleash the Love last year. The original band’s vocals were used for the 2018 LP The Beach Boys With the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Producers said the Q&A will take place at the Capitol Records Tower in Los Angeles, where the band recorded some of its early material. Fan questions will be taken, along with discussions about the new album and the highs and lows that have made them “one of the world’s most beloved and respected bands.”
The show will be aired on Good Vibrations, the Beach Boys’ SiriusXM channel. “The channel features not only the band’s hits and rarities," notes a sound clip on the recently launched channel, "it will also include guest DJs and stories from original band members Brian Wilson, Mike Love and Al Jardine, along with longtime keyboardist and vocalist Bruce Johnston, guitarist David Marks and percussionist John Stamos, all discussing song inspiration, their careers and lives on the road, memories of founding members Carl and Dennis Wilson, and, of course, a whole lot of fun, fun, fun.”
