The forecast for Friday is sunny with a high of 41. People in Blooming Prairie know why I'm starting off with the weather. It seems that one of the coldest days of the year ends up on the first Friday in December, just in time to put an added chill on the Holiday Dazzle. It looks like that won't be the case this year.

Many of the businesses will be open until 7PM with treats and prizes.

I bet there will be one loud cheer when the ribbon is cut at 5PM to celebrate the newly renovated Main Street. The street work made for a long and difficult summer.

Other activities will include the Women of Today Santa house from 2-6PM in the City Center. Wagon rides will begin at 5PM downtown. The 2015 Scrooge will be announced at 5:30PM next to B to Z. The Snowball Toss will take place on Main Street at 5:45PM. The Kix Dancers will perform at 6PM with the carolers and instrumentalists strolling Main Street. The 4 Bars of Holiday Cheer with trivia will begin at 8PM at the Servicemen's Club. It's a Ladies Night Out at the Servicemen's from 6-9PM with about 25 vendors and crafters on hand.

The Prairie Manor will have their Bake Sale and Chili Feed from 4-7PM.

Blooming Prairie invites you to celebrate the start of the Christmas Season this Friday.
