Blooming Prairie Boys Basketball Defeats Bethlehem Academy

Blooming Prairie flexed their muscles in a 64-50 win over Bethlehem Academy Monday night at Van Orsow Auditorium in Faribault.  The Awesome Blossoms were led by some awesome shooting by junior guard Kaden Thomas.  He had 4 three point baskets, 3 of them in the first half when he scored 15 of his 18 points.  Blooming Prairie was up 37-17 at the half.

Blooming Prairie shot a blistering 74 percent from the field for the game.  They were 7 of 9 for 78 percent from three point range. Senior 6'4 Trent Swanson scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half while muscling his way to the basket for layup after layup.  He was 6 of 7 from the field.

Bethlehem Academy made a comeback in the second half and got the 20 point deficit down to 12 a couple of times but just couldn't get the game back into single digits.  The Cardinals were hot from the field as well shooting 66 percent for the game and 58 percent from beyond the three point line while going 7 of 12 from three point range.

Blooming Prairie was 7 of 11 from the free throw line and BA was 5 of 7 from the charity stripe.  Jack Clark was 5 of 6 from three point range and scored 26 points.  Damon Trump added 11 points.  Both teams shot so well there were not many rebounds to go after.

The Cardinals statistics had Bethlehem Academy with 10 rebounds and Blooming Prairie with 14.
