Big Changes Coming to Brooktree Golf Course Clubhouse in Owatonna
Changes are coming to Brooktree Golf Course in Owatonna this summer. Not so much to the highly regarded golf course, but to the clubhouse. The opportunity presented itself according to Jenna Tuma, the Director of Owatonna Parks and Recreation.
She states in a press release from the City of Owatonna which owns the course, "When the previous food and beverage provider elected to not renew our contract, we realized we have an opportunity to make changes to better serve the broader community."
Members were surveyed. Tuma says, "We heard about opportunities to improve customer experience, provide a more welcoming facility and communicate more regularly...We anticipate neighbors in the area walking to the course to grab a bite to eat or enjoy a cold beverage on the patio with friends."
The project is a "multi-year refresh" according to the news release. "While the greens and outdoor spaces will remain mostly as they are with regular maintenance and upkeep, the interior of the clubhouse is being updated. Food and beverage services are being reimagined to create a neighborhood hub for fun and the clubhouse dining room will be available for private event rental."
Brooktree recently was voted No. 2 Best Golf Course destination by Southern Minnesota Scene according to the release.
Golfers can start to think spring by ordering their season passes for the summer of 2022 by contacting Brooktree at 507-774-7100 or by stopping at the Parks, Trails, Recreation and Facilities Department in City Hall.
Information regarding menus and space rental will come out this summer.
