Today is National Dessert Day and as someone who lives for desserts, chocolate, and all things sweet I am so excited! In celebration of today, I thought I would share the best places to get dessert in the Twin Cities. This list is created through a combination of the top places that came up on Google and Yelp, and are in no particular order!

Treats (770 Grand Ave St Paul)

Treats was voted best Ice cream from best of the Twin Cities 2020, and I totally can see why! They have an abundance of choices to choose from. In addition, they also have amazing special waffles they make! Not only this but they sell tea, coffee, matcha, and boba. Check out their website here.

Cheesecake Funk (5801 Opus Parkway Minnetonka)

If you are a fan of cheesecake you need to go here and forget about The Cheesecake Factory! This place was given 5 stars on google and after looking at the menu I want to try every single flavor! Their best sellers include Toasted Coconut Cream, White Chocolate Caramel, White Chocolate Raspberry, and many more! Visit their website here.

Edwards Desert and Kitchen (200 N Washington Ave Minneapolis)

This place has a little bit of everything, and looks so extravagant! They have everything from cookies and bars, to ice cream sundaes and pies, to plated desserts, to dessert jars, to cocktails. I think I definitely want to try the earl grey chocolate mousse jar that is gluten-free and plant-based! Visit their website here.

Milkjam Creamery (2743 Lyndale Avenue South, Minneapolis)

Milkjam is an artisanal ice cream shop, serving innovative flavors. This place has so many interesting flavors that include limited Halloween flavors like The Great Pumpkin (spiced vegan pumpkin ice cream with black chocolate shortbread) and It Shall Not be Named (butterbeer ice cream (butterscotch w/ hints of vanilla and rum)). Visit their website here.

Ichigo Tokyo Crepes (5W 34th St Minneapolis)

Tokyo Styled Crepes, need I say more? Unlike French crepes, Japanese-styled crepes are thinner and include more things such as fruit, cream, ice cream etc… The sweet crepes include items like Strawberry Custard (strawberries, homemade custard cream, corn flakes, chocolate sprinkles, and whip cream). Savory crepes include items like Chicken Sesame (grilled chicken strips, lettuce, cheese, sesame ginger sauce). Visit their website here.
