Best Buy Will Open Later on Election Day, Allowing Employees Time To Vote
Over the weekend, Best Buy announced that they will be changing their hours on November 3rd as well as some other employee changes for that day!
According to the release by the Richfield based company, Best Buy stores will not be opening until Noon on November 3rd to give their employees "the time they need to cast a ballot in person, if they choose". This change will also effect the company's call centers, distribution centers, main office, and in-home teams.
In addition to the change in operation hours, Best Buy announced that they will also be giving paid time off to any employee who volunteers as a poll worker on election day, due to a reported shortage of workers due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
