Baby Animals & Ag/FFA Day at Bethlehem Academy In Faribault
There were many excited grade school students from Divine Mercy Catholic School and Bethlehem Academy Thursday! The Bethlehem Academy Ag/FFA members hosted a Baby Animals and Ag Day for over 300 students! The objective was for students to learn more about agriculture and farming in our area. Ag/Shop Instructor/FFA Advisor Casi Jensen's FFA members set up 7 rotating stations for the grade school students.
This year was the second annual Baby Animals Ag FFA Day at Bethlehem Academy. The new stations added this year were a big hit for the students. They included a tractor all the kids wanted to sit on and a side by side that was popular too. Other stations included baby chicks, pigs, dairy goats, kittens, bunnies, and fish and wildlife.
Back when I was growing up a large percentage of us grew up on a farm or those that didn't had friends that lived on a farm. So they would spend time out on a farm. Today, even kids growing up in a rural area like Faribault, very few have been on a farm. Thanks to FFA Advisor Casi Jensen and her FFA members for helping to educate the students at Bethlehem Academy and Divine Mercy Catholic School!
