The Owatonna High School football program will host an awards presentation and sendoff for senior Jason Williamson Friday, January 11 in the OHS Commons are 2:50 pm. He is in his final days at the high school as he has early-enrolled at the University of Minnesota where he will continue his football career.

Williamson was on vacation in Jamaica on National Signing Day so Friday will be a chance for his teammates, classmates and the community to celebrate his accomplishments. Since being part of the state championship, he has been named Mr. Football, the Gatorade Minnesota Player of the Year, the Associated Press Player of the Year and the USA Today Player of the Year.

Williamson verbally committed to the Gophers after his junior season and officially signed his Letter of Intent in December. He ended his prep career with over 7,000 rushing yards, which is the second-best in state history.
