A Child Was the Victim of a Deadly Traffic Incident in SW MN

Wabasso, MN (KROC-AM News) - Authorities in southwestern Minnesota are investigating a deadly collision involving a vehicle and a child.
A news release issued by the Redwood County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to what was reported as a vehicle versus child incident just before 6 PM on Friday. It states the child later died from his injuries.
The fatal collision occurred near the intersection of a Redwood County Highway and a rural road about 4 miles north of Wabasso, which is a town of about 700 people located about 135 miles west of Rochester.
The Sheriff's office has yet to release the name of the deceased child or provide information about the victim's age and hometown.
