If you're getting together with family and friends in the Bold North for Thanksgiving this year, these are uniquely-Minnesota phrases you will no doubt either say or hear.
The Thanksgiving holiday is a uniquely American tradition, one filled with tons of food, and getting together to give thanks with family and friends, all set in the late fall after-- the harvest is in for the year.
Last year, before the vaccines were available, authorities urged us to forgo traveling for Thanksgiving and host or attend a scaled-back celebration with only a few close family members-- those in your 'bubble.' (Remember THAT phrase?!?)
But this year, many of us are now vaccinated and ARE getting back to a more normal Thanksgiving. And that means there are several phrases you'll probably ONLY hear (or perhaps say yourself) if you find yourself at a Thanksgiving dinner here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
