The Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism announces that local small businesses can apply for grants of up to $10,000. Dollars come from the CARES Act through the City of Owatonna and Steele County. Businesses of 50 employees or less are eligible.

Program information states the city and county "recognize the hardships and impact COVID-19 has had on business within the community. In an effort to support local businesses and help them sustain operations during this difficult time, the Owatonna CARES Business Grant Program will provide grants up to !0,000 to assist eligible businesses adversely affected by the pandemic."
