A few openings remain for the 12th annual Ken Bey Football Classic golf tournament July 11 at Brooktree Golf Course in Owatonna.

High school football teams across Minnesota will face a squeezed time frame as they prepare for the start of the season. Most teams kick off their seasons Saturday, Aug. 22.

Four athletes and a coach will be inducted in September into the Owatonna High School athletic hall of fame. Ed Draheim, Jody Neuleib-Young, Scott Kostelecky, Matt Skala and Mike Lundstrom make up the 20th anniversary class.

Longtime Owatonna High School assistant football coach Doug Wanous will receive the Butch Nash award at the state football coaches association banquet on Saturday, March 28.
